Andrea Menard is a talented Canadian actress, writer, and jazz singer. She is known for her work in television shows and for creating her own musical plays. Andrea is also a proud member of the Métis community.

Andrea Menard was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada. She grew up and is based in Saskatchewan.

Her Career in Acting and Music

Andrea Menard has played many interesting characters on TV. She was a police officer named Detective Amanda Strongeagle in the series Moccasin Flats. She also starred as Constable Tara Wheaton in the show Rabbit Fall.

You might also know her voice from the animated show Wapos Bay: The Series. In this stop-motion program, she voices the characters Sarah Merasty and Kohkum. This show is on the APTN.

Andrea's Music and Plays

Andrea is also a very good jazz singer. She wrote and created a special musical play called The Velvet Devil. This play was performed by just one person and was very popular when it first opened in 1998.

Later, a music album with songs from the play was released in 2002. The CBC even made a film based on The Velvet Devil that aired in 2006.

In 2005, Andrea was part of a music album called Real Divas - Torch Light Vol. II. This album featured her and 15 other Canadian jazz singers. Her song "If I Were a Man" has even been used in TV shows around the world.

In May 2005, Andrea Menard had a very special performance. She was one of the main performers for Queen Elizabeth II. This event celebrated 100 years of Saskatchewan being a province in Canada.
