Andreas Marcus Kaplan (born October 5, 1977) is the president of Kühne Logistics University in Germany. He is an expert on the internet world, especially social media and viral marketing.

Life and Education
Andreas Kaplan was born in Munich, Germany, on October 5, 1977. His mother, Anneliese Kaplan, was a dressmaker, and his father, Vincenc Kaplan, was a locksmith.
Professor Kaplan attended many famous universities across Europe. He earned degrees from ESCP Business School, the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and the École nationale d'administration in France. He also earned his Ph.D. from the University of Cologne and the Sorbonne.
Career in Higher Education
Kaplan began his career as a professor at ESSEC Business School and Sciences Po Paris. Later, he joined ESCP Business School, where he held several important roles. He was the head of the marketing department, the dean for academic affairs, and the rector (head) of the Berlin campus. From 2017 to 2022, he was the dean of the Paris campus.
In May 2022, Kaplan became the president of Kühne Logistics University in Hamburg. He is also a professor of Digital Transformation there.
Kaplan is very interested in the future of education in Europe. He has written about how digital tools like MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) are changing universities. He believes in the importance of cross-cultural education, where students learn about different cultures.
