Andreu Lacondeguy is an amazing mountain biker and motocross rider from Barcelona, Spain. He was born on January 12, 1989. He's famous for winning big events like the Red Bull Rampage in 2014. He also earned a bronze medal at the X Games in 2013 for Mountain Bike Slopestyle.

Andreu Lacondeguy's Early Life and Training

Andreu grew up in a place called Montseny, which is close to Barcelona. He started racing Four-Cross bikes when he was just 10 years old. He even became a regional champion!

Later, he switched to BMX and downhill mountain biking. By the time he was 15, he was so good that he got a special contract with Team Maxxis. Andreu and his brother, Lluís, who is also a pro rider, often practice their skills in California.

Andreu also rides Freestyle Motocross (FMX). He uses the cool tricks he learns in FMX in his Freeride Mountain Bike competitions. He even has "Love Dirt" tattooed on his fingers!

Andreu Lacondeguy's Career Highlights

Andreu has achieved many great things in his career. In 2008, he won the Crankworx event in Whistler. That same year, he was one of the first people to land a double backflip on a mountain bike in a competition. He was also the first to do a backflip from a big ramp covered in snow!

In 2012, he won the Red Bull Berg Line event in Winterberg. The next year, 2013, Andreu earned a bronze medal at the Munich X Games Slopestyle event.

His biggest win came in 2014 when he won the tough Red Bull Rampage competition. He also finished second at the Red Bull Rampage in both 2015 and 2018. He came very close to the podium, finishing fourth, in 2010, 2012, and 2013.

The Fest Series

In 2015, Andreu and some other famous riders started something cool called the Fest Series. This series involves special invitation-only Freeride events. These events last for a week and happen in different places all over the world. Some of the riders who helped start it include Kurt Sorge, Graham Aggasiz, Nico Vink, Makken Haugen, and Nick Pescetto.

Farm Jam Festival

At the 2013 Farm Jam Festival, Andreu won the MTB "Dirt Jam" contest. What's super impressive is that he competed in three different events: FMX, BMX Dirt, and MTB Dirt. He was the first person ever to compete in all three at this festival!
