Andrew Lee Isaac Vowles, also known as Mushroom, is an English musician. He is famous for being one of the people who started the music group Massive Attack. This group is known for its unique style of music called trip hop. He formed the group with Robert Del Naja (3D), Adrian Thaws (Tricky), and Grantley Marshall (Daddy G).

Andrew Vowles' Early Life and Music Roots
Andrew Vowles was born in Bristol, England. Before he helped create Massive Attack, he was part of a music crew called The Wild Bunch. This group was like a team of DJs and musicians who played music at parties.
Other members of The Wild Bunch included Robert Del Naja, Grant Marshall, and Adrian Thaws. Many of these members later came together to form Massive Attack.
How Andrew Vowles Got His Nickname
Andrew Vowles got his nickname "Mushroom" from an arcade game called Centipede. This game was at a popular cafe in the 1980s where Vowles and his friends from The Wild Bunch often hung out.

Andrew Vowles was an important member of Massive Attack for many years. He stayed with the group until shortly after their third album, Mezzanine, was released in 1998.
