Andrii Anatoliyovych Rusol, born on January 16, 1983, is a Ukrainian former professional footballer. He was a strong defender who played for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and the Ukraine national team. After his playing career, he moved into management roles.

Playing Career Highlights
Andrii Rusol started his football journey as a defender. He began his professional career with Zirka Kirovohrad during the 1998–99 season.
Early Club Teams
After playing for Zirka, Andrii moved to Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih for the 1999–2000 season. He played for Kryvbas until 2003.
Time at FC Dnipro
In 2003, Andrii Rusol joined Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. He played 117 matches for Dnipro and scored 5 goals. His dedication and skill led him to become the captain of Dnipro in the 2007–08 season. He retired from playing football on August 24, 2011, at the age of 28, due to back injuries.
International Football
Andrii Rusol also had a successful career playing for his country. He made his first appearance for the Ukraine national team on March 31, 2004.
Ukraine's World Cup Goal
Andrii played 49 matches for Ukraine and scored 3 goals. One of his most memorable moments was scoring Ukraine's very first goal in a World Cup finals match. This historic goal happened in the 4th minute against Saudi Arabia during the 2006 World Cup. He also served as captain for Ukraine in a match against Sweden, which Ukraine won 1–0.
