André Olbrich (born on May 3, 1967) is a German musician. He is best known as the co-founder and lead guitarist of the power metal band Blind Guardian. He also helps write many of the band's songs with the other founder, Hansi Kürsch.
André Olbrich is a highly respected guitarist. Guitar World magazine ranked him among the top 100 greatest heavy metal guitarists of all time. He was also listed in The 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists by Joel McIver. André's guitar playing often matches the singing style of Hansi Kürsch.
His guitar style is influenced by his favorite bands. These include Queen, Judas Priest, Metallica, and Black Sabbath. André also uses a technique called staccato a lot. This means playing notes very short and sharp.

In 2020, a scientist named Alexander Fedosov discovered new types of sea snails. He named four of these snails after famous rock guitarists. One of them, called Clavus andreolbrichi, was named in honor of André Olbrich!
