Andy Allen, born on April 30, 1988, is an Australian chef and TV star. He became famous after winning MasterChef Australia in 2012. Since 2020, he has also been a judge on the popular cooking show.

Andy Allen's Early Life
Before becoming a chef, Andy Allen worked as an electrician. He also loved playing basketball for a team called the Maitland Mustangs. He even helped build extensions for his local basketball stadium.
Andy's dad, Peter, was a teacher at Bolwarra Public School. He was also in charge of cricket for schools in New South Wales.
Andy Allen's Career in Food
Andy decided to follow his passion for food. He now owns a restaurant called Three Blue Ducks. This restaurant has five locations across Australia. You can find them in Rosebery, Byron Bay, Nimbo, and Bellingen in New South Wales. There is also a location in Melbourne, Victoria.
In 2018, his restaurant earned a special award called a Chef's Hat. This made Andy the first MasterChef Australia winner to receive such a high honor.
In 2021, Andy co-hosted a cooking show called Three Blue Ducks. The show traveled around Australia to find new ideas for dishes. These new ideas then appeared on the restaurant's menu.
Winning MasterChef Australia
Andy Allen won the fourth season of MasterChef Australia. In the final competition, he competed against two other talented cooks, Audra Morrice and Julia Taylor.
Andy then faced Julia Taylor in the last two rounds. He won the competition with a score of 76 points, while Julia scored 68 points.
Andy Allen as a MasterChef Judge
After winning, Andy appeared on an episode of MasterChef Australia All-Stars in August 2012. He also returned to MasterChef in 2019.
In October 2019, it was announced that Andy would become one of the new judges for MasterChef Australia. He joined the show along with two other new judges.
