Andy Lassner (born December 30, 1966) is an American television producer. He is well-known for his work on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He was an executive producer for the show from when it started in 2003 until its last episode in 2022.
Andy was often featured in fun parts of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He has won many Daytime Emmy Awards for his work. Today, he is an executive producer for The Jennifer Hudson Show.
Early Life
Andy Lassner was born in Bogotá, Colombia. His parents were Jewish. His father, Jules Lassner, was a captain in the United States Marine Corps. His parents later moved to New York City, where Andy grew up. He was a big fan of the New York Rangers hockey team. He has one brother.
Career in Television
Andy Lassner began his career in the mid-1990s. He started as a producer for shows like The Jane Whitney Show. He also worked on The Richard Bey Show and The Carnie Wilson Show.
In 2003, Andy started working on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He became a very important part of the show. He was often seen in a segment called Average Andy. In this segment, he would try to do things that experts do, showing how an "average" person might struggle.
Another popular part of the show was when Ellen DeGeneres would send Andy and a celebrity to haunted houses for Halloween. Andy is easily scared, which made these segments very funny. He also helped produce other game shows like Ellen's Game of Games.
