Andrew Richard Ogle (born 16 February 1989) is a retired English mixed martial artist. He used to compete in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Andy, also known as "The Little Axe," started his professional MMA career in 2009. He became well-known for fighting in many events across England. He also appeared on the TV show The Ultimate Fighter: Live.

About Andy Ogle
Andy Ogle was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. His parents are Jan and Gordon Ogle. He grew up in Tynemouth, North Tyneside.
He went to Marden High School. There, he played football and also trained in MMA. When he was 16, Andy started teaching MMA to younger kids at his gym.
After high school, Andy went to the University of Sunderland. In 2011, he graduated with a degree in sports science.
Andy Ogle's Fighting Career
Starting Out in MMA
Andy Ogle began his semi-professional (amateur) fighting career in 2008. He won five fights in a row. His last semi-pro fight was a loss by TKO (Technical Knockout) to Danny Jones.
After his good semi-pro record, Andy became a professional fighter in late 2009. His first pro fight was on October 18, 2009, against Graham Armstrong. Andy won this fight by a unanimous decision.
A month later, he lost his second fight by submission. But Andy quickly bounced back! He won his next three fights by submission, all using a move called a "rear-naked choke." Two of these wins happened in the first round.
Andy continued to win, bringing his record to 7 wins and 1 loss. Then, he fought Shay Walsh, who was undefeated and considered a top featherweight fighter in the UK. Andy surprised everyone by winning against Walsh with a unanimous decision.
The Ultimate Fighter TV Show
In February 2012, Andy Ogle was chosen to be on The Ultimate Fighter: Live. This is a TV show where fighters compete to win a contract with the UFC.
To get into the Ultimate Fighter house, Andy had to win a fight. He defeated Brendan Weafer by unanimous decision. This made him an official cast member of the show.
Andy was picked by coach Urijah Faber to join Team Faber. In the quarter-finals, Andy fought Mike Rio, one of the best fighters from the other team. Andy won by submitting Rio with a rear-naked choke in the second round. This was a big upset win!
In the semi-finals, Andy fought his teammate, Al Iaquinta. Andy lost this fight by TKO in the first round, which meant he was out of the competition.
Fighting in the UFC
Even though Andy didn't win The Ultimate Fighter show, the UFC President, Dana White, signed him and other fighters to contracts. Andy was supposed to fight at a UFC event in June 2012. However, he couldn't because he was medically suspended after his loss on the show.
Andy's first official UFC fight was on September 29, 2012, against Akira Corassani. He lost by a split decision. Many people watching thought Andy had won the fight.
On February 16, 2013, Andy fought Josh Grispi, a former featherweight title challenger. Andy won this fight by unanimous decision after three rounds.
Andy was set to fight Conor McGregor in August 2013, but he had to pull out due to an injury. Max Holloway replaced him in that fight.
Andy then faced Cole Miller on October 26, 2013. He lost this fight by unanimous decision.
On February 15, 2014, Andy fought Charles Oliveira. He lost by a triangle choke submission in the third round.
Andy's next fight was against Maximo Blanco on May 31, 2014. He lost this fight by unanimous decision.
Andy Ogle's last UFC fight was on January 24, 2015, against Makwan Amirkhani. He lost the fight very quickly, by TKO just 8 seconds into the first round. After this fight, Andy was released from the UFC.
Andy Ogle's Life Now
As of 2016, Andy Ogle works as a prison guard in Newcastle, England.
