The Navajo name for Aneth, Tʼáá Bííchʼį́įdii, has an interesting story. It was the nickname for a store owner named J.B. Tanner. He ran a trading post in Aneth. The nickname means "just like a devil" in Navajo. People gave him this name because they thought his business practices were unfair. He also worked in another town, so both places got the same nickname.
