Aneurin Barnard (born on May 8, 1987) is a talented actor from Wales. He is famous for his roles in many movies and TV shows. You might know him as Davey in Hunky Dory or Gibson in the war film Dunkirk. He also played Boris Pavlikovsky in The Goldfinch.

Early Life
Aneurin Barnard was born in Bridgend, Wales, on May 8, 1987. His dad was a coal miner and his mom worked in a factory. Welsh is his first language.
He went to Ysgol Gyfun Llanhari for high school. When he was 16, he acted in a TV show called Jacob's Ladder. Later, he studied acting at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. He finished his studies in 2008.

Aneurin Barnard has had a busy career both on stage and on screen.
On Stage
Aneurin started acting in theatre when he was just 11 years old. He joined the Bridgend County Youth Theatre in 1999. While studying drama, he performed in plays like The Caucasian Chalk Circle and West Side Story. In West Side Story, he played the main character, Tony. He also worked on a radio play called Under Milk Wood.
In 2009, he played Melchior in the musical Spring Awakening in London. This show was very popular and won a Tony Award. Aneurin won a special award called the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his amazing performance.
On Screen
Aneurin first appeared on TV at age 16 in Jacob's Ladder. He has also had guest roles in popular TV shows like Doctors and Casualty.
In 2011, he starred in the movie Hunky Dory. He played Davey and sang songs by famous artists like David Bowie. In 2012, he played photographer David Bailey in the TV film We'll Take Manhattan. He also appeared in the horror film Elfie Hopkins.
Aneurin played the main character, Mariah Mundi, in the fantasy adventure movie The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box. This film was released in 2014. In 2013, he played King Richard III in the TV series The White Queen. He also appeared in Moonfleet.
In 2014, he played music manager Bobby Willis in the TV drama Cilla. In 2016, he was Prince Boris Drubetskoy in the TV show War & Peace. For this role, he was nominated for a BAFTA Cymru award. He also starred as Tim Hobson in the BBC drama Thirteen.
In 2017, Aneurin played Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Interlude in Prague. The next year, he was William in the comedy Dead in a Week or Your Money Back. In 2021, he starred with Sean Bean in the prison drama Time. He was nominated for another BAFTA Cymru award for this role. In 2023, he played Ryan in the TV series The Catch. In 2022, it was announced that Aneurin would appear in the popular show Doctor Who.
