Angel & Khriz are a famous Puerto Rican reggaeton music duo. The group is made up of Angel Rivera Guzmán (Angel) and Christian Colón Rolon (Khriz). They are known for their energetic performances and popular songs.

Their journey in music started with a big splash. They were noticed by Héctor el Father, a well-known artist. This helped them record their first song, "Cazando Voy." This song became a huge hit, selling enough copies to be certified platinum. Because of this success, they were called "the MVPs of the year."

In 2004, Angel & Khriz joined MVP Records. They then went on many tours across South and Central America. Their first album, Los MVPs, was very popular. It even got the attention of Machete Music, a part of Universal. This label focuses on music for the growing Latino audience.

The duo also performed in many cities in the United States. Crowds loved their shows, making them one of the most popular reggaeton duos. In 2005, their first studio album, Los MVP, was released. It included hit songs like "Ven Baílalo" and "De Cazeria." This album was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the United States. A special version of Los MVP came out the next year. It featured two more popular songs, "Fua" and "De Lao a Lao."

Angel & Khriz continued to gain fame. They opened the Premios Juventud awards show. They also closed the 2006 Latin Billboard Awards with Tito El Bambino and Wisin & Yandel. These big events helped more people discover their music. In 2008, they released their second album, Showtime. This album featured the singles "La Vecina" and "Na De Na." Their third album, Da' Take Over, came out in 2010. It had popular songs like "Ayer La Vi" and "Me Enamoré."

Their Musical Journey

Angel and Khriz started their reggaeton careers around 2001. They worked with producers Nesty and Barbosa. In 2002, they signed with Manolo Guatauba, a pioneer in reggaeton music. This led to their first songs being released.

However, they became truly famous after signing with Gocho and his label, MVP Records, in late 2002. They appeared on several underground music collections. These included popular albums like "Desafío" and "MVP 1."

The Success of Los MVP

In 2004, Angel & Khriz released their first album, Los MVP. MVP Records released it, with help from Machete Music and Universal Music Latino. This album is famous for the huge hit song "Ven báilalo." This song was loved all over the world. Many people consider it one of the most well-known reggaeton songs ever. It reached number 3 on the Billboard music charts.

Ven báilalo was popular with both underground and mainstream music fans. The album sold over 500,000 copies in the United States and Puerto Rico. It earned gold and Latin platinum awards from the RIAA.

New Songs and Collaborations

In 2005, Angel & Khriz released more songs. These included "Fua," "De Lao A Lao" (in bachata, merengue, and reggaeton styles), and "Las Noches Son Tristes." People often compare their fame to artists like Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, and Wisin & Yandel.

They also released a song called "Carita de ángel" (Face of an angel). This song was part of Echo "The Lab"'s album, Invasion. In 2008, they launched their album Showtime. The first single from this album was "La Vecina," followed by "Na de Na."

Their hit song "Ven Báilalo" was chosen by Rockstar Games. It appeared in a trailer for the video game GTA IV. The song is also on the Grand Theft Auto IV radio station, San Juan Sounds. Later, "Na de Na" was featured in "GTA: Episodes From Liberty City." Another one of their songs, "Muévela," was in the 2009 Fast & Furious movie and its soundtrack.
