Early Life
Angela grew up in West Auckland, New Zealand. She went to Massey High School there.
Acting Career
Angela Bloomfield is famous for her role as Rachel McKenna in the TV show Shortland Street. She played Rachel for many years, starting as a school girl. Her character grew up to become a university student and even the CEO of Shortland Street Hospital. Angela was on the show on and off for 24 years.
She has also acted in movies like Bonjour Timothy and The Frighteners. Angela appeared in other TV shows too, such as The Adventures of the Black Stallion and Power Rangers Ninja Storm.
For three years, Angela focused on being a mom to her two children. During this time, she also worked as a director for Shortland Street.
In 2009, Angela returned to Shortland Street as Rachel. She stayed on the show regularly until 2016. In August 2021, it was announced that she would be a contestant on Celebrity Treasure Island 2021.
Personal Life
Angela Bloomfield has two children. She is separated from her husband, Chris Houston. Today, she works in the real estate business on the North Shore.
