The Angiana tree frog (Litoria angiana) is a fascinating type of large tree frog. It makes its home in the tropical regions of Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. These frogs are known for their unique appearance and how they fit into their forest environment.
What Does the Angiana Tree Frog Look Like?
Angiana tree frogs are quite large for a frog. Male adult frogs can grow to about 5.5 centimeters (about 2.2 inches) long. Female frogs are even bigger, reaching up to 8 centimeters (about 3.1 inches) in length.
Their skin can be either brown or green, helping them blend into their surroundings. They have a distinct dark stripe that runs along their sides. You might also notice bright yellow spots dotted around this stripe, adding to their unique look.
Where Do Angiana Tree Frogs Live?
These tree frogs prefer to live near rivers. They are often found in the lush, green forests of Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. This habitat provides them with the water and shelter they need to survive.
