Aniket Jadhav was born in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He made history by becoming the first football player from Kolhapur to play for the Indian national team.
Aniket's Football Journey
Youth Career and Early Days
Aniket was part of the AIFF Elite Academy. This academy helped train young players for big tournaments. He was preparing for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, which was held in India.
After the World Cup, Aniket was chosen to play for the Indian Arrows. This team was created by the All India Football Federation. It helped young Indian players, especially those under 20, get more playing time in professional matches.
Aniket made his first professional appearance for the Indian Arrows against Chennai City. He started the game and scored two goals, helping his team win 3–0.
Playing for Different Clubs
In March 2019, Aniket got a special chance. He joined Blackburn Rovers in England for three months. He trained at their academy to improve his skills even more.
Later, Aniket played for several teams in the Indian Super League (ISL).
- He moved from Hyderabad to East Bengal in August 2022.
- After a short time there, he signed with Odisha in January 2023.
- For the 2024-2025 season, he has returned to play for Jamshedpur FC.
Playing for India
