Anise Koltz facts for kids
Anise Koltz (born June 12, 1928 – died March 1, 2023) was a famous writer from Luxembourg. She was known for her poems and for translating other people's poems. She also wrote stories for children. In 1962, she helped start a successful event called Journées littéraires de Mondorf, which means "Mondorf Literary Days". This event is now called Académie Européenne de Poésie (European Academy of Poetry). Anise Koltz always played a very important part in it.

Biography
Anise Koltz was born in the Eich area of Luxembourg City on June 12, 1928. In the 1950s, she started writing fairy stories. She mainly wrote them in German and Luxembourgish. She also worked as a translator, changing books from one language to another.
Many of her writings have been translated into English, Spanish, and Italian. People thought she was Luxembourg's most important modern poet.
Starting in 1963, the Journées littéraires de Mondorf (Mondorf Literary Days) helped connect writers from Luxembourg with writers from other countries. In 1995, the Mondorf Literary Days started again. This time, they included all types of writing. This gave many different authors a chance to share their work.
Anise Koltz passed away on March 1, 2023. She was 94 years old.
