Anisha Nicole's Music Career
Anisha Nicole started making music that got noticed! Her song "No Means No," which featured Baby Diva, became very popular. It appeared on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Sales chart for 19 weeks in 2002, reaching an impressive spot at number 4. The song also made it onto the Hot 100 Singles Sales chart, climbing to number 18.
In 2003, "No Means No" also reached number 89 on the main Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. In 2005, Anisha released her first album, which she called 19. This album was released through her mother's record label, Base Hit Records. The number 19 was special because it was the jersey number her famous father, Tony Gwynn, wore when he played for the San Diego Padres.

Anisha Nicole graduated from Poway High School in 2003. She then went to California State University, Northridge (CSUN). However, she decided to focus completely on her singing career.
On January 31, 2009, Anisha married baseball player Kennard Jones.
Anisha comes from a very athletic family! Her father was Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn. He played his entire 20-year baseball career for the San Diego Padres. After he retired, he became the head baseball coach for San Diego State University. Anisha's mother is Alicia Gwynn. Her brother, Tony Gwynn Jr., also played in Major League Baseball. He is now a baseball analyst for the Padres. Her uncle, Chris Gwynn, was also a Major League Baseball player.
