Starting Strong in 2021
The year 2021 was a big step forward for Anna. In July, she reached her first quarterfinal at a major WTA Tour event, the Poland Open. This was exciting because she won her first two matches on the tour there.
Later that year, she had a series of great results. She reached the semifinals at a tournament in Collonge-Bellerive. The next week, she made it to the quarterfinals of the Karlsruhe Open. This event is part of the WTA Challenger Tour.
Just two weeks later, Anna won her first big ITF title at the Wiesbaden Open. She won both the singles and doubles events! A week after that, she reached another final in Le Neuborg but didn't win the trophy this time.
In November, she won her first WTA 125 title at the Argentina Open. She beat Diane Parry in the final. The very next week, she won another tournament, the Copa Santiago. These wins helped her enter the top 100 players in the world for the first time. She reached world No. 90 on November 15, 2021.
Big Moments in 2022
Anna made her debut at a Grand Slam tournament in 2022. She played in both singles and doubles at the Australian Open.
At the French Open, she reached her first major quarterfinal in doubles. She played with her partner, Greet Minnen.
She also had a great run at the Budapest Grand Prix. She made it to the semifinals without losing a single set. This amazing performance helped her reach the top 50 in the world on July 18, 2022.
