Anna Maria Nordqvist (born 10 June 1987) is a professional golfer from Sweden. She plays on two major golf tours: the LPGA Tour in the U.S. and the Ladies European Tour. Anna is famous for winning three major championships in golf. These big wins include the 2009 LPGA Championship, the 2017 Evian Championship, and the 2021 Women's British Open. She is the only non-American woman to win major championships in three different decades (the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s).

Anna's Early Golf Days
Anna Nordqvist was born in Eskilstuna, Sweden. She was a very successful amateur golfer. This means she played golf for fun, not for money. She won many awards in Europe and the United States.

- She was also a runner-up twice at the British Ladies Amateur in 2006 and 2007.

Anna quickly became a professional golfer. She joined both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour in 2009. She even won the Ladies European Tour Final Qualifying School right away.
First Big Wins
Anna won her first professional tournament in June 2009. It was a major championship called the 2009 LPGA Championship. This was only her fifth time playing on the LPGA Tour! Because of this big win, she was chosen to play in the 2009 Solheim Cup. Later that year, she won the LPGA Tour Championship. She was named Rookie of the Year on the Ladies European Tour.
Memorable Moments
- At the 2013 Solheim Cup, Anna made history. She hit a "hole-in-one" on the 17th hole! This was the first hole-in-one ever in the Solheim Cup.
- In May 2015, Anna won her fifth LPGA Tour tournament. She won by just one shot in New Jersey.
- The 2016 U.S. Women's Open was a tough moment. Anna lost in a playoff because of a rules mistake. She accidentally touched the sand in a bunker with her club.

- In September 2017, Anna won her second major championship. This was The Evian Championship in France. She won in a playoff against American Brittany Altomare. The weather was very bad during this win.
- In August 2021, she won her third major. This was the Women's British Open in Scotland. This win made her only the second golfer to win three big R&A events. These are the Girls Amateur, British Ladies Amateur, and Women's British Open.
- In 2022, Anna won the Big Green Egg Open in the Netherlands. This was her first win on the Ladies European Tour that wasn't a major.
