Writing and Producing Big
Anne Spielberg started her career working for her brother's company, Amblin Entertainment. In 1988, Anne and her neighbor, Gary Ross, wrote a movie together. This movie was called Big. It became very popular.
Anne was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Big. This is a big award for movie writers. She also helped produce the film. She worked alongside James L. Brooks, a well-known producer.
Other Movie Work
Anne Spielberg also helped write another movie called Small Soldiers. This movie came out in 1998. She was not officially credited for her work on this film. The idea for Small Soldiers was inspired by combining elements from two other movies. These were Child's Play and Toy Story.
