Anne de Noailles (born after 1613 – February 15, 1678) was an important French nobleman. He was the first person to hold the title of Duke of Noailles. His two sons later became very influential at the French royal court, which was the center of power for the king.
Before becoming a Duke in 1663, Anne de Noailles held the title of a count.
Who Was Anne de Noailles?
Anne de Noailles was the son of François de Noailles. His father was given the title "Count of Ayen" in 1663. Anne himself was later made the Duke of Noailles in the same year, 1663. This happened during the time when King Louis XIV ruled France. Being a Duke was a very high rank in French society.

On December 13, 1645, Anne de Noailles married Louise Boyer. They had six children together. Their children helped the Noailles family become even more famous and powerful in France.
