Anneliese Rubie, born on April 22, 1992, is an amazing Australian sprinter. Sprinters are athletes who run very fast over short distances. Anneliese is also known as Anneliese Rubie-Renshaw. She has competed in many big events around the world.
She reached the semi-finals at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She also made it to the semi-finals at the World Championships in Beijing in 2015. In 2014, she ran in the semi-finals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Anneliese was a key part of the Australian women's 4 × 400 meter relay team. She ran the second part of the race when they reached the Olympic final in 2016.
At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Anneliese was part of the Australian women's 4 x 400 meter relay team. This team included Kendra Hubbard, Ellie Beer, and Bendere Oboya. They finished 7th in their heat, which meant they did not move on to the final race.

Anneliese's Early Running Career
Starting Strong in Athletics
Anneliese showed her talent from a young age. When she was 18 in 2010, she made it to the semi-finals at the World Junior Championships. This was a big achievement for a young athlete.
In 2011, she continued to compete at a high level. She reached the semi-finals at the World University Games. She also took part in the senior World Championships that same year.
Helping Australian Relay Teams
By 2013, Anneliese Rubie and fellow runner Morgan Mitchell helped make Australian women's 400m and 4 × 400 meter relay running strong again. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the Australian 4 × 400 meter relay team finished fourth. This was a great result for the team.
In April 2015, Anneliese helped Australia secure a spot in the Olympic relay race. This happened at the IAAF World Relays in the Bahamas. Individually, she also did well in the 400m race. She made the semi-finals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 World Championships.
