Anneliese Rubie (born 22 April 1992) is an Australian sprinter. She is very fast in races. She is also known as Anneliese Rubie-Renshaw.
Anneliese has competed in many major events. She reached the semi-finals at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She also made it to the semi-finals at the 2015 World Championships. In 2016, she helped the Australian team reach the Olympic final in the 4 × 400 meter relay.
At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Anneliese was part of the Australian team. They competed in the women's 4 x 400 meter relay. The team finished seventh in their heat. They did not move on to the final race.
Anneliese's Early Running Career
Anneliese started showing her talent early. When she was 18 in 2010, she reached the semi-finals. This was at the World Junior Championships. She also competed in the World University Games in 2011. Later that year, she ran in the senior World Championships.
In 2013, Anneliese and Morgan Mitchell helped improve Australian women's 400m running. They also boosted the 4 × 400m relay team. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, their relay team finished fourth. In 2015, Anneliese helped Australia get a spot in the Olympic relay. She also made it to the semi-finals in the 400m at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She did the same at the 2015 World Championships.
