Annet Nakawunde Mulindwa is a successful businesswoman and a top leader in banking in Uganda. Uganda is an important country in the East African Community. She is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Finance Trust Bank. This bank helps people with their money. As of late 2020, the bank had about 92 million US dollars in assets.

Early Life and Education
Annet Mulindwa was born in the Central Region of Uganda. She went to local primary and secondary schools. After that, she attended Makerere University. This is the oldest and largest public university in Uganda.
Her University Degrees
Annet earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Makerere University. She then continued her studies at the Uganda Management Institute (UMI) in Kampala. There, she received a special diploma in financial management. Later, she earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in finance, also from UMI.
Her Career in Banking
Annet Mulindwa started her career in the early 1990s. She first worked at a place called Pride Microfinance Limited. After that, she moved to Nile Bank Limited. Later, she joined Finance Trust Bank.
Rising Through the Ranks
At Finance Trust Bank, Annet worked in many different roles. She was a manager for operations and compliance. She also led the operations department. People noticed her strong leadership skills. She received more training in leadership, management, and solving problems.
Becoming a Bank CEO
On April 3, 2012, Annet Mulindwa was chosen to be the Managing Director and CEO of Uganda Finance Trust. At that time, it was a microfinance institution. This means it helped small businesses and people with small loans.
Later, the Bank of Uganda gave Finance Trust a full commercial banking license. This meant it could become a regular bank. Annet Mulindwa then became the CEO of this new commercial bank. She was the second woman in Uganda's history to become a CEO of a commercial bank. The new Finance Trust Bank officially opened in January 2014.
