Anniedelle, Georgia facts for kids
Anniedelle is a small place in Floyd County, Georgia, in the United States. It is called an "unincorporated community." This means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town does. Instead, it's managed by the county.
Anniedelle's History
Anniedelle had a post office that opened in 1893. A post office is where people send and receive letters and packages. This post office stayed open for about eight years, closing in 1901.
The community was named after a local Cherokee woman. Her name was Sadayi, but she was also known as "Annie Ax." The name "Anniedelle" is a slightly different way of spelling "Anniedell."
