Anthony Adams is an American lawyer and politician. He served as the Deputy Mayor of Detroit under Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. Mr. Adams also ran for Mayor of Detroit in 2021. He advanced from the primary election to challenge the current mayor, Mike Duggan.

Anthony Adams: Public Service

Anthony Adams has held several important roles in public service. He worked as an executive assistant for Mayor Coleman Young. This role helped him learn a lot about how a city government works.

Leading Detroit's Schools

Mr. Adams was elected President of the Detroit Public School Board. In this position, he helped guide the city's schools. He worked to make sure students had good learning opportunities.
