Running for Mayor in 2005

In 2005, Freman Hendrix ran for mayor of Detroit. Major newspapers in the city, like the Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press, supported him. Hendrix won the primary election on August 2 by a good amount, with the current Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick coming in second.
