Anthony LeJohn Brown (born October 10, 1992) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for Beşiktaş Gain in Turkey. This team is part of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL) and also plays in the EuroCup. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the Stanford Cardinal team.

Anthony Brown's Early Basketball Career
High School Success
Anthony Brown went to Ocean View High School. In his junior year, he was a star player. He scored about 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds per game. He was even named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of his league.
That year, he helped his team, the Seahawks, win a championship in the CIF Southern Section. They also finished as state runner-up. Anthony was named CIF Southern Section Player of the Year. He was also chosen for the first-team all-state. His high school honored him by retiring his jersey and putting him in their Hall of Fame.
College Journey at Stanford
Anthony played college basketball at Stanford University from 2010 to 2015. In his third year (2012–13), he had a hip injury. Because of this, he took a "medical redshirt" year, meaning he didn't play but still kept his eligibility.
In the 2013–14 season, he played really well. He scored about 12.3 points and got 5 rebounds per game. He was great at shooting, making 47.5% of his shots overall and 45.3% from long distance. He was named the Pac-12's Most Improved Player. His team, the Cardinal, even made it to the "Sweet 16" in the NCAA Tournament.
As a senior, Anthony led Stanford to win the NIT championship. He averaged 14.8 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game. He also passed for 2.5 assists per game. He finished his bachelor's degree in communication in May 2014. After that, he started a master's program in media studies.
Anthony Brown's Professional Basketball Career
Starting in the NBA: Los Angeles Lakers (2015–2016)
On June 25, 2015, Anthony Brown was chosen by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2015 NBA draft. He was the 34th player picked overall. He officially signed with the Lakers on July 9.
He played his first game for the Lakers on October 30, scoring five points. During his first season, he also spent time playing for the Los Angeles D-Fenders. This team was the Lakers' affiliate in the D-League. The Lakers waived him (let him go) on October 24, 2016.
Playing for Erie BayHawks and Other NBA Teams (2016–2017)
On October 30, 2016, the Erie BayHawks picked Anthony first in the 2016 NBA Development League Draft. He played great, averaging 29.3 points in three games. Because of this, he signed with the New Orleans Pelicans on November 21.
He played nine games for the Pelicans before they waived him on December 9. He then returned to the Erie BayHawks. On January 22, 2017, Anthony signed a 10-day contract with the Orlando Magic. After this contract ended, he went back to the BayHawks. He was even named an All-Star for the 2017 NBA D-League All-Star Game.
Minnesota Timberwolves and Iowa Wolves (2017–2018)
On August 1, 2017, Anthony Brown signed a "two-way contract" with the Minnesota Timberwolves. This type of contract means he could play for both the Timberwolves and their G-League team, the Iowa Wolves. He was the first player in the Timberwolves' history to sign such a contract.
He later signed a training camp contract with the Philadelphia 76ers on August 29, 2018. However, the 76ers waived him on October 10, 2018.
Playing Overseas: European Teams
After his time in the NBA, Anthony began playing for teams in Europe.
- Partizan (2018): On October 23, 2018, he signed with Partizan, a Serbian club. He left the team on November 27, 2018.
- Lakeland Magic (2019): He returned to the G-League briefly, joining the Lakeland Magic on January 10, 2019.
- Limoges (2019): On October 28, 2019, he signed with Limoges CSP in France.
- Montakit Fuenlabrada (2019–2020): On December 30, 2019, he moved to Spain to play for Montakit Fuenlabrada.

Playing for the USA National Team
After his first year at Stanford, Anthony Brown was chosen to play for USA Basketball. He joined the team that went to Latvia for the 2011 FIBA Under-19 World Championship. He played in five games, with his best game against Egypt. In that game, he scored 10 points, grabbed five rebounds, and made three assists. The United States team finished the championship with seven wins and two losses.
