Anthony Charteau (born June 4, 1979) is a retired professional cyclist from Nantes, France. He was known for being a great climber, which means he was very good at riding up steep hills and mountains.
His most famous achievement was winning the special prize for the best climber in the 2010 Tour de France. This prize is called the Mountains classification. The winner gets to wear a white jersey with red dots, known as the polka dot jersey. Charteau raced as a professional from 2001 until he retired in 2013.

A Professional Cyclist's Journey
Anthony Charteau began his professional cycling career in 2001. In his early years, he showed his talent in different races. In 2005, he won a stage in the Volta a Catalunya, a big race in Spain.
Two years later, in 2007, he won the entire Tour de Langkawi race in Malaysia. This was a major victory for him and showed he could win multi-day races, also known as stage races.
