Anthony Fainga'a (born 2 February 1987) is an Australian former professional rugby union player. He usually played as a centre, which is a key attacking and defending position in rugby.

About Anthony Fainga'a
Early Life and Family
Anthony Fainga'a was born in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. He started playing rugby league when he was five years old. He played for the Queanbeyan Kangaroos.
Anthony went to St. Edmund's College. He played for the school's top rugby team, the 1st XV, when he was just 15. In 2004, he was chosen as the vice-captain for the Australian Schools team.
Anthony has a twin brother, Saia. His younger brothers, Vili and Colby, are also professional rugby players. The Fainga'a family has a background from Tonga and are also Aboriginal.
Rugby Journey
Anthony was the vice-captain of the Australian Under 19s team in 2006. This team won the World Championship! He helped Australia win the Under 19 final against New Zealand with a late drop goal. He was even nominated for the International Rugby Board's Under 19 Player of the Year award. He also played for the Australian Under 21s team in 2006.
Super Rugby Debut
In 2007, Anthony joined the Brumbies team in the Super 14 competition. He made his first Super 14 appearance against the Bulls. This was after he recovered from a foot injury. He played in two more matches that season.
Anthony is known as a strong player who is good with the ball. He is also a tough defender. In 2007, he was called to play for the Australian Sevens team. This team plays a faster version of rugby with seven players per side. He played in all eight matches for the Canberra Vikings in the Australian Rugby Championship.
Playing for the Reds
In 2008, Anthony and his twin brother Saia signed with the Queensland Reds team. He joined the Reds' development tour to Ireland and France at the end of 2008. He made his full debut for the Reds in 2009. By the start of the 2010 season, he was a starting player for the Reds.
Wallabies and World Cup
Anthony made his first appearance for the Australian national team in 2010. This was against the All Blacks in Melbourne. He played in 16 matches for the Reds during their amazing 2011 Super Rugby season. The Reds won the Super Rugby title that year!
Anthony was chosen for the Wallabies squad for the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. His brother Saia was also in the squad. Australia finished in third place at the World Cup.
