About Anthony Fainga'a
Anthony Fainga'a was born in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. He started playing rugby league when he was five years old with the Queanbeyan Kangaroos team.
His School Days
Anthony went to St. Edmund's College. He was good at rugby from a young age. He played for his school's top team, the 1st XV, when he was only 15. In 2004, he was chosen as the vice-captain for the Australian Schools team.
His Rugby Family
Anthony has three younger brothers who also became professional rugby union players. His twin brother is Saia. His other brothers are Vili and Colby. The Fainga'a family has Tongan and Aboriginal heritage.

Early Career and Achievements
In 2006, Anthony was the vice-captain of the Australian Under 19's team. This team won the World Championship. In the final, Australia beat New Zealand 17–13, and Anthony scored a crucial drop goal late in the game. He was even nominated for the International Rugby Board's Under 19 Player of the Year award. He also played for the Australian Under 21s team in 2006.
Playing for the Brumbies
Anthony made his first appearance in the Super 14 competition for the Brumbies team in 2007. This was against the Bulls. He had recovered from a foot injury before this. During that season, he played in two more matches, coming on as a substitute against the Stormers and Sharks.
Joining the Australian Sevens
Anthony is known for being a confident player who is good with the ball and a strong defender. In 2007, he was called to join the Australian Sevens team. This team plays a faster version of rugby with seven players per side. He played in eight matches for the Canberra Vikings in the Mazda Australian Rugby Championship. He also took on the role of goal-kicker for the team later in the season.
Time with the Queensland Reds
In 2008, Anthony and his twin brother Saia signed with the Queensland Reds team. He joined the Reds' development tour to Ireland and France at the end of 2008. He made his full debut for the Reds in 2009. By the start of the 2010 season, he was a starting player for the Reds, playing as the No. 12.
Playing for Australia (The Wallabies)
Anthony Fainga'a made his first international appearance for Australia, also known as the Wallabies, in 2010. This match was against the All Blacks in Melbourne. He was a key player in the Reds' 2011 Super Rugby title-winning season. He played in 16 matches, including the semi-final win against the Blues and the final victory over the Crusaders. Anthony and his brother Saia were both chosen for the Wallabies team for the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Australia finished in third place at that tournament.
