Anthony Quinn Pullard (born June 23, 1966) is an American retired professional basketball player. He was born in DeQuincy, Louisiana. Standing at 6-foot-10-inch (208 cm) and weighing 235 pounds (107 kg), he played as a forward. Anthony Pullard played college basketball at McNeese State University. His career spanned from 1985 to 1990.
College Basketball Journey
Anthony Pullard was a standout player at McNeese State University. He played for the McNeese State Cowboys from 1985 to 1990. During his time there, he became a very important player for his team. He was even named Sports Illustrated Player of the Week. This happened on March 5, 1990.
He earned this honor by playing incredibly well. In three games, he averaged 27.7 points and 13.3 rebounds. One of his best games was on March 3, 1990. He scored 35 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. This helped his team win 60–54 against North Texas.
Professional Career Highlights
After college, Anthony Pullard aimed for the NBA. He signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1990. However, he was later released from the team.
In August 1992, he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. He played 8 games with them during the 1992-93 season. In those games, he averaged 2.1 points and 1.0 rebound. He was released by the Bucks in January 1993.
Soon after, he joined the Rockford Lightning. This team was part of the CBA. Anthony Pullard continued his professional career for several years. He played for various teams around the world. His last known professional games were in Ciudad Victoria, Mexico, in 1999.
