Antioch is a small, unincorporated community located in eastern Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. It sits on the east side of Lake Thonotosassa. Part of Antioch is also found within the Thonotosassa area.
A Look Back: The History of Antioch
Antioch has been a community since 1885. It got its name from the very first church in the area, which is now known as the Antioch Church of Christ. Back in the late 1800s, this church was used by different groups. Baptists met there on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, and members of the Churches of Christ met on the first and third Sundays.

The first school in Antioch was started in 1877. Today, students in Antioch attend schools run by Hillsborough County Schools. For high school, students living in Antioch usually go to Armwood High School, which is in the nearby town of Seffner.
