The Big Flood of 2011
In 2011, the Antler River had a very big spring flood. This was called the 2011 Souris River flood. Many towns along the river were affected. The high water damaged many bridges that crossed the river. Near a town called Carnduff, Saskatchewan, people worked for months to fix the bridges. They had to reroute traffic while repairs were happening.

The Antler River valley is home to different kinds of plants. One plant found here is the Purple Locoweed. Its scientific name is (Oxytropis lambertii). This plant grows in certain areas of the river valley.
