Antonio Brufau Niubó (born March 12, 1948) is a Spanish business leader. He is currently the CEO and Chairman of Repsol, a big international company that works with oil and natural gas. He has held this important role since 2004.

Antonio Brufau's Career Journey
Antonio Brufau started his career at a company called Arthur Andersen. He worked his way up to become a partner and a director there. This means he was in charge of checking how companies managed their money.
Working at La Caixa
In 1988, he joined La Caixa, which is a large banking group in Spain. He became a deputy general manager. In this role, he helped combine different parts of the company. He also became the president of PortAventura Park in 1994. This is a famous theme park in Spain.
Leading at Repsol
In 1997, Antonio Brufau joined Repsol. He became the president of their natural gas division. He stayed in this position until 2004. During this time, he was also a member of Repsol's Board of Directors. This board helps make big decisions for the company.
In 2004, he was chosen to be the CEO of Repsol. As CEO, he helped change how the company was set up. He focused on making Repsol grow in two main areas:
- Upstream growth: This means finding new places to get oil and gas, and then drilling for them.
- Downstream growth: This involves turning the raw oil and gas into useful products like gasoline and plastics, and then selling them.

In 2010, Antonio Brufau received a special award. He was named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by a group called the Federation of Spanish Chambers of Commerce in Europe (FEDECOM). He got this award because he helped Repsol become more active outside of Spain.

Antonio Brufau studied Economics at the University of Barcelona. He also earned a master's degree in Economics from IESE Business School - Universidad de Navarra.
