Antonio Colinas Lobato is a Spanish writer born in La Bañeza, León, Spain on January 30, 1946. He is known for writing many different kinds of books, including poems, novels, essays, and even newspaper articles. He also translates books from other languages. Antonio Colinas is especially famous for his poetry. He won Spain's important National Prize for Literature in 1982, along with many other awards.

Awards and Honors

Antonio Colinas has received many special awards for his writing. Here are some of the most important ones:

  • 1976 - He won the Premio de la Crítica de poesía castellana for his poetry book Sepulcro en Tarquinia.
  • 1982 - He received the National Prize for Literature (Spain) for his collection of poems called Poesía, 1967-1980. This is one of Spain's highest literary honors.
