Antonio Ferrandis Monrabal (born February 28, 1921 – died October 16, 2000) was a famous Spanish actor. Many people remember him best for playing the character Chanquete in the popular Spanish TV show Verano azul.

Antonio Ferrandis was born on February 28, 1921, in Paterna, a town in Valencia, Spain. After the Spanish Civil War, he first worked as a teacher. However, his real dream was to be an actor in the theatre.
His first big role on stage was in a play called Oedipus in 1950. He acted alongside another famous Spanish actor, Francisco Rabal. Antonio Ferrandis also appeared in several films when he was younger. As he got older, he became one of the most important actors in Spanish cinema.
He became very well-known for his role as Chanquete in the TV series Verano azul in 1981. This show was very popular in Spain.
Antonio Ferrandis passed away on October 16, 2000, in Valencia. He was 79 years old. Ten years after he died, his hometown of Paterna honored him. They showed a documentary about his life in the theater that is named after him.
