Antony David "Tony" Kidman AM (10 December 1938 – 12 September 2014) was an Australian psychologist, biochemist and writer. He was a faculty member of the University of Technology, Sydney for more than 43 years until his death. At the time of his death, he was also the Director of Health Psychology Unit.
Kidman was born in Sydney, New South Wales. He was of Scottish ancestry. He married Janelle in 1964. They had two daughters: Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman (born 1967) and journalist and television presenter Antonia Kidman (born 1970). In 2005, he was made a Member of the Order of Australia.
Kidman died from a heart attack on 12 September 2014 in Singapore, aged 75.
