Starting Out: Early Life in Skateboarding

Antwuan Dixon began skateboarding when he was twelve years old. His mom helped him get his first skateboard, a Powell Peralta deck, from a company called CCS. Along with his new board, he also got a skate video on VHS tape. It was 411 Video Magazine - Issue 40, which probably inspired him even more!

Getting Sponsored: Antwuan's First Teams

As Antwuan got better, he started getting noticed. His very first sponsorship was with Transitions skateboards, which meant they gave him free boards. After that, he rode for Chocolate Skateboards and Youngguns Skateboards.

A big moment happened at Carson skatepark. A person named Mark Waters saw Antwuan skating and was impressed. This led to Antwuan joining the eS team, a well-known shoe company in skateboarding.

Making a Mark: Baker 3 Video Part

In 2005, when Antwuan was just 16 years old, he released his first major video part. This was in a very popular skateboarding video called Baker 3. A "video part" is a special section in a skate video where a skater shows off their best tricks and style. Antwuan filmed his entire part for Baker 3 in just three months!

After Baker 3, Antwuan was featured in another Baker Skateboards video called Baker Has a Deathwish. He then rode for Deathwish skateboards for a while. Later, Antwuan and Deathwish went their separate ways. After leaving eS, he was sponsored by Supra footwear. In 2009, Supra even made his very first "pro shoe," which is a special shoe designed for a professional skater.
