Explore the Mine and Museum

One of the main attractions is going on a mine tour. You can actually go underground and see what it was like for miners! These tours happen on weekends and bank holidays. There's also a museum at the centre. This museum focuses on the local history and how industries like mining shaped the area. It's packed with interesting facts and displays. The centre is open every day from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Discover the Moseley Railway Trust

The Apedale Heritage Centre is also home to the Moseley Railway Trust. This trust has a fantastic collection of narrow gauge industrial locomotives. These are special trains that were used in factories and mines.

See Unique Locomotives

You can see some of these cool locomotives right in the heritage centre museum. The Moseley Railway Trust also holds special "open days" for the public. On these days, you might get to see more of their collection. A separate museum and railway are currently being built for these locomotives.
