The Arabic Wikipedia (Arabic: ويكيبيديا العربية) is the Arabic language version of Wikipedia. It started in September 2001.
It was the 23rd largest edition of Wikipedia by article count, but grew to 17th largest edition.
As of August 2014, it has over 300,000 articles, over 1,350,000 pages, over 625,000 registered users and over 15,000 files.
It has been blocked in Syria.
