Arachno Creek is a small stream located in Navarre, Florida, in the United States. It is also known as Spider Creek. This creek is about a third of a mile long, which is roughly 530 meters. It flows into the East Bay River.
About Arachno Creek
Arachno Creek gets its name from the many spiders and spiderwebs found along its banks. People believe a local Boy Scout from Gulf Breeze might have named it. This small creek is entirely located within the large area of Eglin Air Force Base.
Location and Access
The creek starts on Eglin Air Force Base near Holley. It then flows a short distance to join the East Bay River in Navarre, Florida. Because it is on the air force base, you can usually only reach it by boat or kayak. You can launch your boat from the East Bay River Public Boat Ramp.

Scientists have measured how much water flows through Arachno Creek. It has an average discharge rate of 21 cubic feet per second. This means that 21 cubic feet of water (about the size of a small car) flows past a certain point every second!
