Aragua River facts for kids
The Aragua River is an important river located in the state of Aragua in Venezuela. It flows through the Libertador municipality. This river is a key part of the natural landscape in this region.
The Aragua River begins its journey north of the city of La Victoria. It forms where two smaller rivers, the San Carlos and the Gabante, join together. From there, it flows for about 55 kilometers (about 34 miles).
The river's journey ends when it flows into the Lake Valencia. This point, called the mouth of the river, is located at approximately 10º 10' 38" N latitude and 67º 36' 14" W longitude.
Along its path, the Aragua River passes through several towns and cities. These include La Victoria, San Mateo, Cagua, La Encrucijada, and Palo Negro. The river plays a role in the daily life and environment of these communities.
