Arangiz is a small village or concejo in Spain. It is located in the Basque Country, within the Álava province. You can find it in the Vitoria-Gasteiz area. Arangiz sits between the N-622 motorway and Vitoria Airport. In 2021, about 102 people lived there.

A Look at Arangiz History
Arangiz has a long history. It was once part of a group called the Hermandad de Badayoz. Later, it was connected to the lands of the Duque del Infantado. For a while, Arangiz was part of the Foronda municipality. In the 1970s, Arangiz became part of the larger city of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Important Buildings in Arangiz
The Church of Saint Peter
One of the most important buildings in Arangiz is the parish church. It is named after Saint Peter. The church building was constructed a long time ago, either in the late 1500s or early 1600s. Inside, you can see a beautiful baroque altarpiece. This altarpiece was made in the early 1700s by an artist named Juan Antonio Jáuregui.
