The Archaeological Museum of Puerto de la Cruz (also known as Museo Arqueológico del Puerto de la Cruz in Spanish) is a cool place to visit in the town of Puerto de la Cruz. This town is on the island of Tenerife, which is part of the Canary Islands in Spain. It's one of the most important museums in the area because it holds over 2,600 amazing items from the ancient Guanche people.
The Guanches were the first people to live on the Canary Islands before Europeans arrived. The museum also has a special collection of documents named after a researcher called Luis Diego Cuscoy.

What You Can See at the Museum
The Puerto de la Cruz museum has a huge collection of pottery made by the Guanche people. These are often called "ceramics." You can also see parts of several ancient Guanche mummies. Mummies are preserved bodies, and these show us how the Guanches lived and honored their dead long ago.
Unique Treasures
The museum has some very special items that are only found on the island of Tenerife.
- Two Limpet Shells: These shells were found by a person named Telesforo Bravo. They are unique because they hold small beads inside, like a tiny jewelry box!
- Guatimac Idol: This is a small clay figure, or "idol," that looks like a person. It's known as "Guatimac" and is a very important piece of Guanche art and history. It gives us clues about their beliefs and culture.
