Archibald Montgomerie, 17th Earl of Eglinton facts for kids
Archibald William Alexander Montgomerie, 17th Earl of Eglinton (born 1914 – died 1966) was an important Scottish nobleman. He inherited the title of Earl of Eglinton from his father, Archibald Montgomerie, 16th Earl of Eglinton.
He went to school at Eton College, a famous boarding school. Later, he studied at New College, Oxford, a well-known university.
In 1938, he married Ursula Joan Watson. They had four children together:
- Archibald George Montgomerie, 18th Earl of Eglinton (1939–2018)
- Susanna Montgomerie (born 1941)
- Elizabeth Beatrice Montgomerie (born 1945)
- Egida Seton Montgomerie (1945–1957)
