Archibald Clifton Wilson (born November 25, 1923 – died April 28, 2007) was a professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for a short time. Archie was mainly an outfielder, playing for three different teams between 1951 and 1952. He was born in Los Angeles, California, and went to Franklin High School there.

Archie Wilson was a talented baseball player. He played in the minor leagues for many years. He was known for his strong hitting and good defense.
Becoming an MVP
In 1951, Archie had an amazing year. He played for the Buffalo Bisons team. This team was part of the International League, a big minor league. Archie was so good that he won the MVP award. Archie Wilson got to play in the MLB in 1951. He joined the famous New York Yankees. He played for them for parts of two seasons.
