Areliz Benel was born in Lima, the capital city of Peru. She started studying acting at a special school called the Escuela Nacional Superior de Arte Dramático in 2008. She also learned about advertising at the Instituto Peruano de Publicidad.
In 2012, Areliz showed off her dancing skills! She joined a dance competition TV show called El Gran Show. She did very well, finishing in 5th place.
