Starting Diplomatic Ties
The official relationship between Argentina and India began a long time ago, on February 3rd, 1949. This is when they formally agreed to be diplomatic partners.
Embassies and Representatives
To help them work together, both countries have special offices called embassies. India has an embassy in Buenos Aires, which is the capital city of Argentina. In the same way, Argentina has an embassy in New Delhi, the capital of India. These embassies are like home bases for diplomats who represent their countries and help keep the relationship strong.
India has shown that it supports Argentina's views on certain land claims. This includes areas in the Southern Atlantic Ocean and some border discussions Argentina has with Chile. It means India agrees with Argentina's position on these topics.
