Aripine is a populated place located in Navajo County, Arizona, United States. A "populated place" means it's an area where people live.
Aripine's History
Aripine started out with a different name: Joppa. It was founded in 1883 by a group of people called Mormons.
The name Joppa was no longer used after 1913. Then, in 1922, the area was given a new name: Aripine. The name 'Aripine' comes from combining 'Ari' (from Arizona) and 'pine' (from the pine trees in the local forests).
In 1940, about 60 people lived in Aripine.
