History
How Armstrong Beach Got Its Name
The area we now call Armstrong Beach had a bit of a mix-up with its name. On June 4, 1999, it was first officially named "Armstrong Creek."
However, people soon realized this was a mistake. The name was quickly changed. On November 19, 1999, the name was officially corrected to "Armstrong Beach." This name makes much more sense, as it is a coastal town right by the beach!
