Aroma is a small place in Indiana, United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own local government, unlike a city or town. Instead, it's part of a larger area called White River Township in Hamilton County.
History
Aroma got its name a long time ago in the 1800s. A man named William P. Haworth named the community. He owned a small store there.
The name "Aroma" means a pleasant smell. It might have been named for the sweet scent of fresh-cut hay in the area.
A post office was opened in Aroma in 1870. This allowed people to send and receive mail. However, the post office later closed down in 1902.
